The Andover Royal British Legion Club opened 11th October, 1969. It is a friendly Club with approximately 400 members of varying ages.
Our Steward, Jane Summers, has been with us since August 2008. Always ready to greet you with a smile. There are also 5 more regular and semi-regular bar staff who cover the bar on Jane’s nights off, or on busier nights.
The bar area has a nice friendly atmosphere and is a comfortable area for an evening/weekend drink. Facilities in the bar area include dart board, lottery ticket machines, and fruit machine. We also have WIFI via the cloud, and SKY sports and BT sports available on a screen in the bar or the annex. Behind the bar we have a stock of playing cards and crib boards for those who would like to use them.
We have a varied selection of lagers, beers, ales and ciders at reasonable prices (average lager price £2.50 pint to members). Also good selection of spirits, wines, soft drinks and snacks.
The ARBL Club has it’s own football teams, darts teams, and crib teams. We also have a golf society. We are the home Club for the Andover Hockey Club who have 9 teams who use the Club on a regular basis.
We have a good sized annex which is ideal for small business meetings, classes or private meetings. Can accomodate approximately 40 people. Meetings are held regularly by Royal British Legion Branch; REME; Parachute Regiment; Andover Angling Society; Andover Childminders and Andover SubAqua Club.
We also have a large function hall with a stage, which can accommodate approximately 100 guests seated. We have various regular clubs – Legion Legshakers Line Dancers; Solitaire Dance Club; Sunday Evening Dancing – that use the hall on a weekly basis.
As a conference hall it would seat 150 delegates. We have a projector available, self-service tea and coffee making facilities and the option of buffet food / served hot drinks. Should the bar be required this would need to be agreed prior to engagement.
For private functions such as weddings, christenings, celebratory birthdays, anniversaries and wakes, it is possible to book both the hall and the annex if needed. Wakes are free of charge for the hire of the function room/s, (and available to non-members as well as members) again buffet/tea/coffee can be arranged at reasonable prices if required.

We have a Pool Table in a separate room which is available during opening hours. . PLEASE NOTE that ALL children must be supervised by a responsible adult when using any of the games facilities. No under 14’s allowed to play on the table.
The Club is run by a Committee which is elected at the Annual General Meeting in December each year.
